Lucky, plucky Scots

How I envy them. A real vote, on a real issue, that'll make an actual difference. When did that last happen in the United (or soon to be Untied) Kingdom?

And yes, Alex Salmond is a flash Harry and the SNP are Scots tories, but even so: you have to admire what they've done.

And the spectacle of the Westminster grandees falling over themselves to catch up with what's happening, as if nobody had told them... Mr Darling's repeated headmasterly finger-wagging, ticking his own people off for just being - well, difficult. Pathetic.

First thing I'm doing after a yes vote is applying for Scottish citizenship (apparently, one Scots grandparent gets you in and I have three and a half).

So hoots, mon, here's to Scotland the Brave.
